Our teaching philosophy
You cannot get educated by this self-propagating system in which people study to pass exams, and teach others to pass exams, but nobody knows anything. You learn something by doing it yourself, by asking questions, by thinking, and by experimenting.
Richard Feynman
Following the Richard Feynman’s attitude, we design our courses and field trips with a strong emphasis on challenging, competence-oriented learning goals. Students are able to apply methods they learned to critically evaluate processes in geological materials. Besides the scientific content, we focus on developing their competence in team work and reinforcing their communicating and leadership skills.
